Each piece conveys emotion, calls upon the heart as well as the ear...
I'm not a massage therapist, nor do I do yoga. But even I can appreciate the calm beauty of this album. The music is a seamless whole, from "Prelude to Dawn" through to "Stars Fade to Dawn". Piano solos have, by their nature, the potential to become passive background noise. Mr. Gilliland has avoided this by creating music that while very relaxing, still demands your attention. Each piece conveys emotion, calls upon the heart as well as the ear.

Beautiful and relaxing
I use this CD in my massage practice, and my clients find it very calming. Sometimes "relaxation CDs" can be distracting, but ONE is helpful in promoting a deeply relaxing experience.

heart paced musical flow...
I've been using your CD for several psychotherapeutic interventions in my practice here at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento. Your music is comforting and has beautiful passages that are easy for all age groups to enjoy. Your music has a unique and instinctive heart paced musical flow.
There are many CDs available for stress reduction training, guided imagery, anxiety reduction for teens and children, trauma treatment, and pain management, however, your musical process makes sense to me and as such, your CD is a unique find! I am recommending "ONE" to fellow professionals who would be interested in using your music in their clinical work. I'm waiting for "TWO" !!!!!

delights the senses...
I discovered this artist one evening while surfing the internet, and quite frankly had high expectations from what I had heard from the sample downloads. I do believe that artist Lamont Gilliland, has found a way to take his skill on the piano and use it to compose original pieces of music to delight the senses of his listeners.

My favorite tracks are the very delicate (3) Rain, the cinematic (4) Thru the Clouds and the sweetly flowing, (10) Grace.
... I am looking foward to seeing what Mr. Gilliland comes out with next!

I listen to all kinds of music depending on my mood, but the album "ONE" by Lamont Gilliland is truly in a class by itself. For me, the music sets the stage for an epic story that pulls me in and makes me feel like I am there. When I listen, I am taken away from my somewhat stressful job as a computer programmer and it opens my mind to new worlds of ideas.
The album "One" is perfectly named as each track logically leads to the next to convey one continuous thought. The music tells the story, bringing everything together and as I listen, I too, become part of the "ONE".

stirring and soothing...
I am a massage therapy student who fell in love with your CD after listening to tracks on CD Baby. I have been very particular about the music I want to use when I do a massage. … There are countless CDs with pretty music, nature sounds, etc. but they don't resonate and there is no emotional core.
It seems as though much "new age, meditation" music is composed by computers or companies, not people. That's why I was so happy to find your CD. When I listen to it, it resonates with me deeply. … The music is stirring and soothing all at the same time. I am happy I found your CD.
