I discovered this artist
one evening while surfing the internet, and quite
frankly had high expectations from what I had heard from
the sample downloads on the MeadowSuite Music website. I
do believe that artist Lamont Gilliland has found a way
to take his skill on the piano and use it to compose
original pieces of music to delight the senses of his
listeners. I applaud the spirit he shows in taking this
large step in offering his music, exposing his inner
self, his hopes and dreams, to the world.
Mr. Gilliland's skill at
drawing in the listener is not in doubt. There are three
tracks which are under 1 minute in length which bothers
me. You just getting into the music and suddenly, and in
my opinion prematurely, the song ends.
My
favorite tracks are the very delicate (3) Rain, the
cinematic (4) Thru the Clouds and the sweetly flowing,
(10) Grace.
A nice first CD, though I
am looking foward to seeing what Mr. Gilliland comes out
with next!
